| With compliments of the season from all at Chase Cooper as 2010 draws to a close.
How will we remember 2010 in years to come?
The year when…
- …finely honed new regulation started arriving by the trailer-load from around the globe?
- … smaller Eurozone countries started to fall off the fiscal highwire into the European safety net to the ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ of government bond traders?
- …the FSA finally started winning against abusers of markets?
- …corporate governance and risk appetite suddenly developed a meaning outside the halls of the Basel Committee?
- ...the British government built a time machine out of a DeLorean and set us to return to a future of twin peaks regulation?
- …remuneration became a tool of regulatory arbitrage?
- …we had three inches of snow and the country froze to a standstill (again)?
However we all remember the year, we wish you a very peaceful and low-risk Christmas and a prosperous New Year
